Rose Tattoo

Her red hair stands out against the green background. You can also see the contrast in the portrait. Her strong body, yet vulnerable, turned inward.

Several techniques were used in this painting.
I always set up the first layer with acrylic. Then I know the light and dark.This is followed by several layers of oil paint. These are often transparent layers so you get depth in your painting.
Then I finished the painting with 2k clear varnish from the automotive industry. This is again sanded and varnished.
