Whispers of wings

Sometimes we need to turn inward to feel whatever it is we are feeling. We are often too busy and too preoccupied with others. It is important to turn inward and look at yourself in a gentle way. To reconnect with your inner soul.

The butterflies represent gentleness and transformation. There is a magical interaction between the butterflies and the woman. Nature brings us peace.

Several techniques were used in this painting.

The material it is made on is a piece of scrap, insulation panel. This was first treated with a primer.

I always put on the first layer with acrylic. Then I know the light and dark.

This is followed by several layers of oil paint. These are often transparent layers that give depth to your painting. As a varnish layer there is a clear varnish of the automotive industry.
